Mr. Calvin Reneau was born in Hobart, Oklahoma on October 10, 1940. He has been married to his wife Ann for 45 wonderful years. They have two daughters (Michelle Blasingame and Renee Santry) and nine grandchildren.
Calvin graduated from Sedan High School, located in Mountain View, Oklahoma in 1958. After high school, he received a B.A. degree from Oklahoma Christian University in 1958 and then a Masters of Education with an emphasis in English from Southwestern State University in 1969.
Calvin was a successful middle and high school teacher for 35 years, retiring in May of 2002. During his teaching career he received many awards including Technology teacher of the month and twice he won the Super teacher of the six weeks. At his retirement he was honored by having the sixth grade wing at Eastbrook Middle School named "RENEAU'S SPEEDWAY".
Calvin joined the Open Door Ministry in June of 2002 and was named the associate director in May of 2003. He currently serves as an elder of the Adairsville, Georgia Church of Christ. He has also served as an elder at the Stone Mountain, Georgia Church of Christ and the Decater, Georgia Church of Christ.
Calvin has been preaching the Gospel at small congregations since he was 18 years old.
