Dr. Leslie S. Bland

Dr. Leslie S. Bland was born on February 27, 1947 in Atlanta, Ga. He married Shirley A. Thompson on April 10, 1971. They have two daughters (Demetria and Yolanda) and one grandson (Kevin Lamont Bennett). His family are faithful members of the Kingsland Church of Christ.

Dr. Bland graduated from New Stanton High School (Jacksonville Fl.) in 1964. He earned an Associate Science Degree in Mortuary Science from Miami-Dade Junior College in 1972. Dr. Bland continue his education. He graduated from the Florida School of Preaching in 1982. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ministry in 1994, Master of Science in Ministry in 1996, and Master of Divinity Degree in 2001 from Southern Christian University. In 2005 he earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Ministry from Southern Christian University as well. Dr. Bland strongly believes in studying the Bible and teaching the word of God.

Dr. Bland is a license Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Florida. He preaches for the Kingsland Church of Christ in Kingsland, Ga. Dr. Bland joined the Open Door Ministry in 2003. He is one of the Associate Director of the Open Door Ministry. He teaches Bible courses in the Philippines Theological Collage in the Philippines. Dr. Bland has preached the Gospel throughout the world. His mission efforts have gone into Guyana, Barbados, and the Philippines. He has performed numerous Gospel meetings throughout the world and in the United States.
